Linda Fiorentino launched her career in 1985 with a lead in “Vision Quest” and spent the following decade building a reputation for playing women nobody in the story should have trusted. “The Last Seduction” was the high point, earning her the New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Actress and a BAFTA nomination, and the fact that it missed Oscar eligibility on a technicality is still argued about. “Men in Black” then put her in front of an enormous mainstream audience.
